The former National Theatre & Van Cleef Aquarium
I recalled I went there for election briefing (worked as clerk at the polling station) when there was election. When it rained, we can get wet cause it is 'open surroundings'. The aquarium was small and not much fish tanks but it was the thing that time & it was a treat to be there to enjoy looking at the fishes and getting wet by standing near the water fountain. This remain me of today's fountain at Bugis Junction where kids get wet playing with the water!

Yes, the fountain infront of VCA is bigger but enclosed. Bugis' is open thus have a more welcoming refreshing atmosphere. Many shopping malls are coming out with the same-like of Bugis. Watch out for these as you may want to bring your grandchildren there!
